DIRECTORS & SENIOR MANAGEMENT

Ray is Executive Chairman and Managing Director of Servequip having joined the company in September 1977 as General Manager.

Since that time, he has led the business down an innovative strategic path, in acting not just as equipment distributors, but also as service providers and as training consultants in a variety of specialist market segments. This strategy has resulted over the years in the company becoming one of the best known and most successful foodservice equipment distributors in the UK.

He was one of the founders of the CEIA (the Equipment Importers Association which merged with CESA) and as a result of his role in that organisation, he was then asked to become the founding Chairman of EFEDA, the European Distributors Association. He also spent three years on the CESA Council in its early stages

Prior to Servequip, he spent several years in a number of sales and marketing management positions with Spillers Foods, J Lyons & Co, and Smith & Nephew plc. He is a graduate in Business of the University of Birmingham, and a member of the Institute of Directors and the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Don is Finance Director and Company Secretary. He rejoined Servequip in 2008 after previously performing 15 years service with distinction with the company from 1985 to 2000.

He originally laid the foundations for the existing finance and service systems so, it did not take him long to pick up the reins and update himself with current activities.

Don’s accounting career has been spent in industry and commerce and he has considerable experience in all aspects of finance and business, covering a variety of industries from oil companies to food manufacturers.

He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and holds a number of certificates in computer studies.

Neill is Service Manager of Servequip having joined the company in September 1996 as a Service Engineer.

He soon proved his technical ability and was quickly promoted to Technical Support Engineer. In 1999 Neill was promoted to Technical Manager taking responsibility for the technical training of engineers in the whole company.

Throughout his time as Technical Manager he played an active role on the CESA Technical and Service Providers Committees ensuring proposed new legislation is introduced with a positive effect on the catering & gas industry.

In 2005 he achieved promotion to Service Manager where he continues to provide a first class service whilst supporting the Servequip sales team wherever he can.

Neill has recently been awarded the title of ‘Equipment Account Manager of the Year’ by KFC UKI for his commitment and technical expertise, which he tries to offer to all customers.
